i love that line from Pixar's FINDING NEMO.... it's applicable to me in so many ways---including blogging....blogs are friends, not places to belch up all my work frustrations.

i'm not saying--but i might be saying--that--i  might be werkin' on a pirate project  that might include a shark. THAT would be fun if it were true now, wouldn't it.

So the MEDITATING GOLFER was rejected

because it looked to close to something some other story in the mag was doing-----so-------let's see if this one flies???? idea being- how to get in the head of the friend you  REALLLLY wanna beat next weekend.

i really wanted to paint the meditating golfer...maybe it'll show up as a real LIVE painting-----i need to paint something---i haven't painted with a real paint brush since oct '08.

I was reading is EZRA today for my Old Testament reading

i am a few days behind--( http://www.biblegateway.com/reading-plans/old-new-testament/today?version=MSG  - have this as my default home page, and attempt to read thru in a year, i never get thru all of the Bible in a year, but much of it.....i always bog down in the Isaiah/Ezekiel/Jeremiah sections and come up for air in Psalms)  but----EZRA was SHOCKED, stunned, ripping his clothes, pulling hair out of his beard in dismay, to hear the priests had been intermarrying with the locals that God specifically told them NOT to marry.  My mind went back to this illo i did for the Fire Bible for kids back a couple years ago. I am happy with it--for me, it does convey what the text covers at the end of the book of Ezra. (i have the sound track to the movie Defiance playing while i type this--it also adds to the mood of todays reading)...now---Back to WORK!!!

one was NBC was fat and happy with big ratings----a few years later they called me to do the same peacock with considerably lower ratings. they don't call me any more. but that's ok.  these wer watercolor- colored pencil and airbrush----of which i have not touched these medium since oct  of 'o8. enhanced digitally today..they look a lot better. photoshop is a wonderful thing.
