This is such a weird compliment, but I love the way you render noses for some reason. Very structural. And the bounce light is always killer.

thanx...i did one years ago for TIME mag that was too phallic...no one told me to change it---but it soiled me as an illustrator----my name became mud, all without me knowing it untill an AD left and moved on to another mag and later told me how uncool it was for me to ask for money to fix art that was finished. ( they called a month later for the nose to be fixed. i fixed it not knowing that it was offensive, and i asked for 50 bucks or something for my time-no one mentioned it was bad in the sketch, or anytime to me)--they have not called since then---1994 or so i think).

That's sad and hilarious. (Tragedy plus time?)

I only laugh because we had a guy on staff that made things look phallic intentionally. He was one of the most talented draftsmen I'd ever known and before anything went to final, our AD would have to pore over it to make sure he hadn't slipped anything obscene into his licensed character work.

Good times ;)

As a side note, I'd actually kinda like to see this "forbidden nose" illustration now...
