Hey, Gary,

Quick process question for you. Do your clients generally send you good reference for your illustrations or are you ever in the unenviable position of having a super tight deadline while ALSO having to mine for your own reference?

Also, do you ever just go shoot your own pictures or are you generally able to find everything online?

Thanks, man! (Trying to comment more, just so you know we're out here) ;)

i "mine" my own reference-------pre google, i considered myself as having the biggest sports reference files of any illustrator alive---and for politics and celebs, we used to call reference pictures in NYC, 10 pics from magazines for $25 fedexed to you! internet put them out of business in a hurry. too bad, i liked them.

about 10% of the time i might shoot some reference for some folds or hand angles......maybe 5%.
