the nose was too much like a man's "special purpose"...but it was never communicated to me. 2 weeks passed and they decided to run the article any way---Gary, could you shorten the nose a bit for us?---sure .....what they meant was---Gary, we are doing you a favor by running this in our magazine, fix the stinkin nose. it looks like a man's special purpose. I know we wanted a long nose to be like Pinnochio, but fix it you idiot.----i fis=xed it and later sent an email...Do I send an invoice for this?---A D said yes, $250...i did send one.But PEOPLE up in new york thought i was a jerk for asking for money to fix something that was obviously my fault. we are being nice to him by running the art, and has the nerve........
...ha! ...it's a fine line you walk as you try to balance your desire to stand up for your rights as an artist and your equally strong desire to continue to eak out a living as a freelance illustrator...

Gary the problem i have with this illo and what marti had with this job is the color of the plant on the file cabinet. Change that and its a go~T
